Long-Term Financing

When you finance the cost of replacing your furnace, water heater, or A/C system, you pay just a little bit each year, and the savings from going high-efficiency can often cover the cost completely!

We can set you up with an "Energy Loan" through AFC First, a federally approved energy lender. Payments can be spread out over as much as ten years, with no payment necessary for the first three months. 24 Hour approval, without involving your house as collateral, makes this a very attractive package.
Another attractive energy loan package is run by the Connecticut Housing Investment Fund, which provides financing at below market rates to property owners for the installation of cost-saving energy conservation improvements, such as this one. Again, we'll help you contact them to arrange financing.

Quick-Pay Discount

You can earn a discount for fast payment of your delivery! If we receive your payment within five days of the date of delivery, we’ll give you a discount. The discount changes from time to time, based on the market rate, so after a delivery has been made, simply call 860.567.9431 and ask for the Quick-Pay Discount. We’ll calculate the discounted amount for you, and you can mail in your check. As long as we receive it within five days, we will discount your bill. One sure-fire way to earn the Quick-Pay Discount every time is to keep credit on your account. That way you’ll automatically get the discount, as long as your credit is big enough to cover each delivery. A third option is to give us permission to bill your MasterCard the day after each delivery. You’ll get 4¢/gal off your oil bill or 2¢/gal off propane.

Earned Interest

You can earn interest on your credit balances at Bantam Fuel. If you have a credit balance on your account for more than 30 days (as of the last day of the month), you will be credited earned interest. Bantam Fuel will issue a check for a credit balance any time a customer requests it. (Earned interest is not credited to customers with monthly payment plans when they carry a credit, because they are exempt from interest charges when they carry a balance due.)

Rebates & Tax Credits

Need another reason to upgrade to a high efficiency heating, hot water, or A/C system? Look at all the rebates and tax breaks available if you act now!

The State of Connecticut is offering a rebate on high efficiency upgrades until funds (approximately $2,000,000 left) are used up.
The Propane Gas Association of New England is offering a rebate of $300 on water heaters, and $500 on combination water/central heating for propane installations, as long as funds remain available.
The Federal Government is offering a tax credit of up to $1,500 on high efficiency upgrades. This is a dollar-for-dollar savings off your next income tax due (much better than a tax "deduction"). Provided the efficiencies are high enough, they'll credit you up to 30% of the entire upgrade. Call us for details!
The State of Connecticut is exempting certain high efficiency upgrades from Sales Tax.
