Bantam Fuel was the first home heating provider in northwest Connecticut to provide BioHeat, a new, environmentally friendly fuel to all of its customers. Known as Bantam BioHeat, it is a blend of heating oil and biodiesel, a natural, renewable resource made from soybeans and other natural vegetable oils and fats. When biodiesel is combined with Bantam Fuel’s premium heating oil, the BioHeat blend produces the cleanest, most efficient home heating oil available. This change is a win-win for customers as they receive the most recent development in fuel technology at no increased cost.

Bantam Fuel now provides its customers with a home heating fuel that produces less sediment than traditional fossil heating oil. Additionally, it works at a
higher efficiency using less fuel, while offering greater lubricity and less clogging. This will translate into smoother operating heating systems, thus helping the homeowner to avoid costly maintenance charges. Bantam Fuel President Peter Aziz accepted the first delivery of Bantam BioHeat at a press conference held last fall at the company’s headquarters in Bantam, CT. Also in attendance: United States Senator Joseph Lieberman, Litchfield First Selectman Leo Paul, Jr., Torrington Mayor Ryan Bingham and Gene Guilford, Executive Director, Independent CT Petroleum Association.
